Haul & Swatches: Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection face palette

by - June 29, 2016

Hello, gorgeous!

Yes, another post this week… This one is unplanned, though.

You probably all know about the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection that recently came out.
I love highlighters and dewy makeup, and I already own the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed,  so I was mostly interested in the face palette and the Shimmeing Skin Perfector liquid. I did not like the shades in the eye palette, and so when I heard about Becca pulling the palette off the shelves I was glad that I did not decide to get it.

When I first heard about the face palette I was upset that it included the Champagne Pop shade as I already own it and I hate having duplicates. However, when I saw the palette on a website, I immediately got it. I love Jaclyn Hill; I have followed her for years, I love her makeup tutorials and hauls, anything she recommends I know I will love even though we have completely different skin types but I just love her taste in makeup. I also think the palette looks beautiful and knew I would regret not getting it so I did.
Anyway, the palette arrived two days ago and the moment I saw it I knew I had to post about it on my blog instead of Instagram. Its just too beautiful not to take 10s of pictures of it.

It includes 3 blushes and 2 highlighters. All of the powders in the palette expect for Champagne Pop are shades exclusive to the palette, which is limited edition.
The shades and quantities included are as follows:
Rosé Sprits / Luminous blush / Shimmer / 0.12 oz
Amaretto / Mineral blush / Matte / 0.12 oz
Pamplemousse / Mineral blush / Matte / 0.12 oz
Champagne Pop / Shimmering skin perfector pressed / 0.19 oz
Prosseco Pop / Shimmering skin perfector pressed / 0.19 oz

The face palette costs $52 on Sephora but I paid AED 298 on it.
Full size items quantity and cost:
Mineral Blush / $32 for 0.20 oz
Luminous Blush / $34 for 0.21 oz
Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed / $38 for 0.28 oz

If you do the math, 0.19 oz of the highlighters cost around $25, so having two highlighter in the palette cost $50. As you can see, the highlighters alone add up to almost the full price of the palette. That is assuming that the full size cost doesn't take into consideration the price of the packaging. However, in reality, the packaging for a platte is obviously cheaper than the packaging of several products of the same or fewer quantity.

Enjoy the pictures of the beautiful palette!
