Review: The Ordinary | Salicylic Acid 2% Solution | AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution

Affordable skincare that actually works? Yes please! 🙋🏽‍♀️

Today's post is about two products I have tried from The Ordinary brand that I really like and saw improvement in my skin after using.

💛 Salicylic acid 2% solution

After two or three uses, I just fell in love with this and noticed a difference in my skin. I have these tiny bumps (congestion? milia?) mostly on my cheeks and forehead that have been there forever and this is the first thing that made a noticeable difference!

It just smooths out my skin and is now an essential step in my skincare. I use it 5-6 times a week at night. The texture is a bit weird and can be sticky, but I always apply a moisturizer on top. If I stop using for like a week or so, I notice the bumps come back.

❤️ AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution

This is a mask that I use 1-2 times a week for 10-20 minutes then wash off. It is basically brighter, softer and smoother skin in a bottle.

Here are a few points to keep in mind:

▪️ It stings. If you are not used to acids, build your skin's tolerance to this.

▪️ Do not apply if your skin is peeling or irritated.
▪️ Do not apply on wet skin or use in the shower because exposure to water will sting too. Washing it off will be fine, though.
▪️ Always use SPF when using acids or actives in your skincare.

That's it for today's post.
